A little about me
My design process & philosophy
Team writing is designing
Words aren't an afterthought; integrate content into the design process
Rely on research
Understanding users’ thought processes is key to designing better experiences
Less is (usually) more
We don’t need too many words, just enough to clearly convey meaning
Iterative design
Design is a continuous process, not a one-and-done—get feedback and improve
Human-centred design
Use simple language that users can easily understand, be honest & transparent
Collaboration is key
No good design is developed alone; crossfunctional teams bring perspective
Me, outside of work

How I got here
I'm an experienced content designer with a solid research foundation—7+ years in digital content and 4 years in content design and UX writing. My journey hasn't been linear; I've explored widely and ruled out plenty as "not my cup of tea."
Through all my explorations, one thing remained constant—I wanted to work with words.
After studying journalism, I worked at a newspaper before leading communications for an animal rescue NGO. Then, I took the leap to establish my own independent writing and editing practice.
Going solo taught me discipline, ownership, and adaptability—mostly through mistakes (and there were plenty).
After 5 years of content writing, I discovered UX writing. A few projects in, I realized I needed stronger design and research skills to truly excel.
At 27, I paused my career to pursue a master's in new media design, immersing myself in design thinking, user psychology, and research.
Throughout my studies, I took up freelance work to apply what I was learning.
Now, as a "fresh graduate" with 8 years of experience up my sleeve, I'm ready to dive back into content design full-time—solving problems with (and sometimes without) words.
